Salo retires
It's official: Former Edmonton Oilers goalie Tommy Salo has retired.
Sorry, Scott, but I'm not sorry for laughing my guts out when he got hit in the head by the puck and giving up that easy goal to Belarus in the Olympics. And the fact that this incident mentally destroyed Salo just makes it all the funnier. Do you think the puck damaged the part of the brain that governs going on with your life?

No need for apology. I'm not particularly emotionally attached to Mr. Salo. Although it's worth noting that what wasn't mentioned in the press at the time was that Tommy was going through a divorce at the time that all that had happened. That's the kind of thing that's a little harder to put out of your mind than letting in a bad goal.
